LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a real estate company to fill a Property Accountant position in New York City. This role is fully onsite and will be on a consulting basis for 6+ months, with the potential to evolve into a permanent position for the right candidate. We are searching for someone with strong property accounting experience, ideally within portfolios that include Low-Income Housing Tax Credit properties. Apply today for immediate consideration!ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, including general ledger activity and month-end closePrepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsReview financial statements and perform variance analysisOversee accounts payable and accounts receivable related to assigned propertiesPartner with property management teams to ensure accurate financial reportingMaintain supporting schedules and documentation for audits and complianceAssist with budgeting and forecasting processesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field4+ years of property accounting experience within real estate portfoliosStrong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups)Exposure to Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties strongly preferredExperience with Yardi, MRI, or similar property management/accounting systemsHighly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities$37-45/hrPay Details: $37.00 to $45.00 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
