Key Responsibilities of the Property Accountant

• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for multiple entities and partnerships.

• Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and related reconciliations.

• Support month‑end close activities, including journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Assist with budgeting, expense analysis, and financial performance monitoring across properties.

• Support audits, maintain internal controls, and collaborate with leadership on process improvements.

Qualifications for the Property Accountant

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 1.5–3 years of accounting experience; property or real estate accounting strongly preferred.

• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems; Yardi experience strongly preferred.
