OVERVIEW
A growing real estate management company is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to support financial operations across a mixed portfolio of market-rate and commercial properties. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in property accounting who is looking to deepen their experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Manage monthly and year-end close processes for assigned properties
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
  • Handle bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and general ledger activity
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and tenant billing
  • Support audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
  • Coordinate with property management teams to ensure financial accuracy and alignment
  • Maintain compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting projects

WHAT IT TAKES
  • 2–3 years of property accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with Yardi or similar property management/accounting software preferred
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
