Property Accountant

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Property Accountant in the real estate industry. As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records and reporting for our various properties. You will play a vital role in monitoring and analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, and providing financial advice to management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Asset Managers and Property Managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for multiple properties, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flowReview vendor invoices and ensure timely payment.Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management.Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for each propertyEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirementsCoordinate with external auditors during annual auditsAssist in the preparation of tax returns for propertiesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceProven experience in property accounting or real estate financeStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standardsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting softwareExperience using Real Page is preferred but not requiredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or discrepanciesAbility to prioritize and manage multiple deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
