Description
Property Accountant – Salt Lake City, UT
- Responsible for all accounting and financial reporting for assigned properties.
- Close month end accounting entries and reconcile balance sheets & profit and loss statements.
- Maintain general ledger, journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Working knowledge of mortgage/escrow and draw agreements as well as management agreements.
- Verify escrow taxes, insurance, and process monthly mortgage and distributions.
- Review payables, deposits, and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Assist with annual audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
- 3-5 years of experience, with minimum of 1 year of Property Accounting experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Yardi, AppFolio, Entrata or CYMA, is a plus.
- Previous experience in real estate/property management accounting is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
