Property Accountant

Location: York, PA / Onsite In-Office

Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 base salary + 5% Bonus

Property Accountant Job Responsibilities:

As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting activities for an assigned portfolio of properties.

Perform full-cycle accounting, including AR, AP, journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, and depreciation
Prepare quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules
Process and reconcile payroll activities
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts
Analyze general ledger activity and resolve discrepancies
Maintain tenant, vendor, and property accounting records
Support budgeting, reporting, and special projects
Assist with future accounting system implementation and process improvements

Property Accountant Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Public accounting experience(audit) and/or full-cycle accounting experience within property accounting, real estate, or construction industry experience
Strong understanding of AR, AP, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
Strong Excel and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Collaborative, team-oriented attitude
Yardi software experience preferred
