| Job Summary: |
The Property Appraiser 3, in County Services serves as a valuation expert in the appraisal of all locally assessed property for ad valorem property taxation purposes. This position provides technical assistance to county assessors and their staff throughout the state regarding applicable valuation methods, market data and related projects. Assists in providing continuing education via presentations, workshops, and roundtable discussions. Conducts research and analysis of issues and conditions impacting property valuations and summarizes findings in reports, papers and/or presentations. Additionally, this role may be called upon to represent the Department as a valuation witness to review, discuss, and defend values, before both judicial and administrative bodies.
