Burnett is very excited to be partnering with a leading commercial real estate investment and operating firm here in Houston! This firm specializes the acquisition, development, and management of industrial, multifamily, and adaptive reuse properties. With $2.5 billion in portfolio equity, they are heavy hitters for sure! Currently, they are looking to bring on a Property Coordinator for their busy NW Houston office. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with an outstanding company! 

The Property Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to property management, construction, and asset management teams across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including industrial, retail, mixed-use, and redevelopment projects. This role serves as a primary contact for tenants, vendors, and internal stakeholders while helping ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of assigned properties.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, demonstrate attention to detail, and effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment. The role requires initiative, accountability, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls as appropriate.
  • Monitor and respond to shared email inboxes and general inquiries.
  • Support accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and documentation.
  • Assist with accounts receivable activities and tenant payment tracking.
  • Foster positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and service providers.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and vendors with questions and payment-related matters.
  • Prepare and maintain vendor agreements and service contract records.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and track work orders through designated systems.
  • Monitor and maintain insurance documentation for tenants and vendors.
  • Process and distribute incoming mail and correspondence.
  • Provide administrative support and complete special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Understanding of commercial real estate operations is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and property management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new systems quickly.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in commercial real estate, property management, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting industrial, retail, mixed-use, or commercial property portfolios preferred.
  • Experience working with institutional or professionally managed real estate assets is a plus.
