We're looking for a Property Damage (PD) Subrogation Specialist to join our Claims team. In this role, you'll take ownership of auto property damage subrogation files from start to finish, working with insurance carriers, attorneys, and uninsured motorists to maximize recoveries while delivering exceptional claim outcomes.If you're a skilled negotiator with strong knowledge of auto liability and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.The PD Subrogation Specialist will be responsible for the handling and resolution of all auto property damage subrogation claims. Must have the ability to determine, develop and negotiate the theory of liability with Third Party Carriers, attorneys and uninsured motorists, as well as resolve files in accordance with company objectives and applicable state regulations.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Review evidence required supporting property damage subrogation activity on claims in accordance with policy contract, corporate claims policy and state regulationsContact appropriate parties, insurance carriers, and attorneys, to negotiate settlements which are in compliance with company objectives and applicable state regulationsEvaluate all counter claims that present themselves and review with Claims managementReview settlement offers with Claims management to ensure they are in compliance with company objectives and applicable state regulationsAchieve/maintain company goalsPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Minimum of 2-3 years of auto insurance company subrogation experienceKnowledge of liability lawGood interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skillsAbility to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claims adjusterAbility to work on an on-line computer-based claims systemIn-Office positionPreferred:College degreeFirst Chicago Insurance Company provides a competitive benefits package to all full- time employees.
