Lawson is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to oversee the financial responsibilities for a portfolio of multifamily residential properties.Duties/Responsibilities:Account Reconciliations AuditAssist property manager in reviewing actual vs. budget discrepanciesReconcile monthly bank statements to general ledgerPrepare audit-related schedules/work papers for annual auditReconcile mortgage activity to bank recordsAssist with audit and tax workpaper preparationInternal control review and complianceReview for accurate GAAP accountingCash and escrow analysisAssist with annual budget preparationsReview, prepare, and analyze monthly financial statements on an accrual basisPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to clientsCalculate monthly management fees for billing sitesPerform accounts receivable functions for assigned propertiesEnsure security deposit accounts are fully funded liabilitiesMaintain and track fixed assets and prepare monthly depreciation entriesAssist sites with accounting-related questionsAnswer auditor questionsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experienceStrong organizational skills and effective recordkeepingAttention to detail and excellent communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility to work days, evenings, weekends as neededProficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAGE 300 CRE, Sage, Fixed Assets Depreciation, and OneSite preferredKnowledge of financial regulations and LIHTC is a plusPositive attitude, trustworthiness, integrity, and honestyEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experiencePhysical Functions: Bending, kneeling, stretching, climbing stairs and ladders, squatting, and lifting up to 15 pounds.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing and Finance#J-18808-Ljbffr
