Location: Camarillo, CAEmployment Type: Full-TimePay: $20–$22 per hour (DOE)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Technician to perform residential, retail, and apartment repair, maintenance, and remodeling projects. This position is ideal for someone with broad construction knowledge who enjoys a variety of hands-on work including carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and general property improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial maintenance, repair, and remodeling projects
• Complete drywall installation, patching, texturing, and repairs
• Perform interior and exterior painting, touch-ups, and finishing work
• Install and repair cabinets, countertops, doors, trim, and molding
• Construct and repair decks, fencing, patio covers, and other exterior structures
• Perform minor plumbing repairs and fixture installations
• Perform basic electrical work including outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and ceiling fans
• Complete minor framing, siding, and carpentry projects
• Troubleshoot and repair general property maintenance issues
• Maintain accurate communication regarding project status and completion
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards

Qualifications

• Previous handyman, maintenance, remodeling, or construction experience required
• Experience with carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs
• Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and professional

Preferred Experience

• Drywall finishing, stucco repair, and paint matching
• Plumbing repairs and fixture replacement
• Electrical troubleshooting and installation
• Irrigation and sprinkler system repairs
• Residential property maintenance and remodeling projects

Requirements

• Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation (truck or van preferred; mileage reimbursement available)
• Smartphone for communication and job tracking
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and prolonged standing
• Strong communication and customer service skills
