COHAUS is looking for a well-organized Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations across our property portfolio. In this role, you'll oversee accounts payable and receivable for multiple properties, process owner and vendor payments, manage tenant ledgers, and produce accurate financial reports for ownership. The ideal candidate has experience with property management accounting and can produce clear, reliable reports across multiple properties or entities.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Track rent collections, tenant ledgers, security deposits, and late fees across the property portfolio
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and owner/tenant billing
Process monthly owner statements and distributions
Reconcile bank and trust accounts for each property in compliance with trust accounting requirements
Track operating expenses, budgets, and cash flow by property
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll
Provide regular financial reports to ownership and management
Support year-end reporting, tax prep, and audits in coordination with the accounting team

Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
2+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in property management or real estate
Experience with property management software preferred
Familiarity with accounting principles and multi-property/entity bookkeeping
Strong organizational and analytical skills; detail-oriented
