Property Management Aide
We are currently seeking candidates with clerical/bookkeeping experience and strong Microsoft Office knowledge for a Property Management Aide position in Akron.

In this position, you will work for a large housing management organization assisting the Housing Manager in all aspects of the overall operation of the housing development.

Shift:
  • 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday
  • Lunch is 12:00 – 1:00pm (with a one hour lunch the employee is paid a 7.5 hour full day)


Pay:
  • $18.50/hour


Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to inquiries from tenants and the public, ensuring information aligns with all policies.
  • Print, distribute, and close maintenance work orders; provide tenants with updates and assistance.
  • Perform bookkeeping duties including leases, billing, delinquent rent accounts, tenant ledgers, and rent/repair balances.
  • Type eviction letters and tenant communications; maintain appointment books and required reports.
  • Enter vacancy, delinquency, payroll, and other confidential data into systems; prepare reports as needed.
  • Assist with rent calculation certifications.
  • Provide guidance to temporary workers, volunteers, and maintenance staff.
  • Order supplies, prepare requisitions, letters, and complete other clerical duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • 1+ year clerical experience with basic bookkeeping knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; able to operate standard office equipment.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License; insurable under AMHA.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work under changing deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a diverse and challenging client environment.
  • Attention to detail with high accuracy.
  • Previous bookkeeping and office practices preferred.
