Portland Homes and Commercial Properties is looking for a motivated and organized Assistant Maintenance Coordinator to join our growing property management team in Portland, OR. Responsibilities:
Assist with triage and assignment of incoming maintenance requests
Ensure work orders are progressing through their cycle in a timely manner, and are properly documented and closed as appropriate
Assist the lead maintenance coordinator with one-time and ongoing projects
Perform move-in and move-out inspections
Follow up on vendor estimates
Follow up on vendor scheduling
Help source vendors for emergencies
Assist with the purchase of supplies and materials
Answer phones
Assist the Portland Homes team with whatever is needed at any given time
Requirements:
1+ year of experience in property management, facilities coordination, or a related field preferred
Strong understanding of home maintenance and knowledge of which vendors are appropriate for different types of repairs (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, electrical, landscaping, maintenance and general contracting)
Experience coordinating vendors and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with move-in, move-out, and annual inspections
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions regarding repair scope and vendor selection
Comfortable using property management software (e.g, Rentvine, Appfolio)
Strong computer skills. Comfortable with spreadsheets
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Able to navigate stairs, lift items weighing up to 50lbs, and stand on a step ladder
