Description

Highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join Hernando County Property Management. This position will contribute to the success of our Property Management department by assisting with a wide range of responsibilities related to property acquisition, liquidation, leasing and tenant management.

A Property Management Associate I will work closely with the Property Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our properties. Property Management Associate II will be responsible for assisting The Property Management Department to maintain a high level of department satisfaction by responding to inquiries and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner. Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will assist with property transactions and the preparation of various reports.

Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including working in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods, or otherwise to balance the workload.

• Maintain bi-weekly, monthly and annual reports.
• Process agenda items.
• Coordinate property closing appointments.
• Respond to public inquiries and address concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with organization of property transaction scanning and filing.
• Process correspondence regarding property acquisitions, liquidations, etc.
• Maintains Lease database for termination and renewals.
• Process requests received from Property Manager or other divisions by applying current departmental policy.
• Process and scan documents according to county records management policy and department procedures.
• Monitors deadlines for agenda items.
• Responsible for the creation of Legal Ads/Public Notices for Property Management agenda items going before the BOCC.
• Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures.
• Participate in special projects for resources associated with job functions, such as new technologies, programming, processes and task updates, development of new procedures and other applicable tasks.
• Demonstrate commitment and dependability with regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to schedule of availability.

Emergency Response

County employees are required to report for work during a state of emergency and are subject to recall around the clock for emergency response operations which may include duties other than those specified in this job description. Employees may request an exemption from this requirement by submitting the appropriate exemption form, subject to review and approval.

Typical Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree is preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in customer service and general office duties.

A combination of education, training and experience may be substituted at the Countys discretion.

Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations

• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License or must obtain within 30 days of establishing residency in Florida and be insurable by current insurance carrier, or valid Florida Identification Card is acceptable only for positions not required to drive a county vehicle.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Requires sitting most of the day.
• The job involves frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 20 pounds.
• The job requires frequent bending, twisting, and occasional squatting, climbing, kneeling, and balancing.
• The job requires the completion of tasks that involve simple grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manual manipulation, and typing.

Salary Disclosure: Pay rates are based on policy, education, skill, experience level and internal equity.
