    Description

    We are hiring for a Property Manager/Leasing Agent. Our client is a small, family-owned business with an excellent benefits package and pleasant work environment. The position requires a college degree and previous experience with property management and leasing. This is a full-time position: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some availability to be on-call on the weekend for emergencies. 

    Job Description

    The Property Manager and Leasing Agent is responsible for leasing, marketing and maintaining the company’s portfolio of mainly industrial flex commercial properties in Northern Virginia. This position requires working closely with the owner to ensure company standards. Light travel and personal vehicle use will be required. Candidate must be a multi-tasking, team player who will interact closely with external business partners, tenants, and co-workers. Candidate will be expected to prioritize and perform administrative and project-oriented tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the properties. Strong professional communication and writing skills required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leasing, marketing and showing of commercial properties
    • Monitoring of vendor contracts, tax information, licensing and insurance certificates
    • Receive and handle all leasing inquiries
    • Maintain a knowledge of market conditions and local issues
    • Negotiating and preparing new leases and lease renewals in accordance with the company’s standards and regulations
    • Obtain vendor proposals for property construction and/or maintenance
    • Communicating and working with maintenance team
    • Perform pre-leasing and move out property inspections
    • Update all content associated with leasing including: websites, rent rolls, floorplans and brochures
    • Weekly touring of properties and interaction with Tenants
    • Manage and respond to tenant requests and complaints in a professional and timely manner
    • Create, approve and code AP invoices
    • Provide updates and scheduled reports to property owner
    • Manage budget and expenses per property
    • Reconcile Tenant accounts
    • Responsible for AR collections such as, outstanding rents, security deposits, or other income as necessary
    • Involvement and reporting in weekly company meeting and office management
    • Willingness to assume additional responsibilities

    Education and Qualifications

    • College degree (required)
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
    • Knowledge of Timberline/Sage 300 software (preferred)
    • Real Estate or Brokers license (preferred)
    • Must have a reliable operating vehicle and valid driver's license (required)
