Property Manager Boston, MA $80,000–$95,000 / year, depending on experience
OVERVIEW A property management company that owns and operates its own portfolio of apartment buildings, multifamily homes and brownstones across Boston is looking for a Property Manager to run day-to-day operations across multiple sites. This is a hands-on, on-the-ground role with a real seat at the table as part of the property operations leadership group.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Oversee day-to-day operations across a portfolio of scattered-site apartment buildings, multifamily homes and brownstones throughout Boston
Handle resident relations from move-in through lease renewal, and resolve escalated resident issues
Drive occupancy and leasing performance across the portfolio, working closely with on-site leasing staff
Coordinate and oversee vendor relationships and contracts for maintenance, landscaping, and other services
Track work orders and maintenance turnaround using Maintenance IQ, and keep unit turns on schedule
Run rent collections, delinquency management, and lease enforcement in line with company policy
Represent ownership in day-to-day dealings with residents, vendors, and local officials
Weigh in as part of the property operations leadership team on staffing and budget decisions across the portfolio, even though those calls are made above this role
Flag issues and opportunities across the portfolio before they become bigger problems
WHY YOU MATTER With properties spread across the city, ownership needs someone on the ground who's actually paying attention day to day — and whose read on what's happening at each site carries real weight in how the portfolio gets run.
WHAT IT TAKES
3-5+ years of property management experience, ideally with a market-rate multifamily portfolio
Comfort managing a scattered-site portfolio and splitting time across multiple properties
Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager and RentCafe
Comfortable making day-to-day calls on-site while looping in leadership on the bigger decisions
Clear, professional communication with residents, vendors, and ownership
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between sites
Ability to juggle competing priorities across multiple properties without dropping the ball
A genuine service mindset — this is still a people-facing job, not just a numbers job
THE PERKS!
$80,000–$95,000 per year, depending on experience
Health insurance, with the company covering half the premium
Dental insurance, with the company covering half the premium
IRA contribution
A real voice in how a Boston-area portfolio is run, as part of the property operations leadership team
