Property Manager/ Handyman

 

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Property Manager / Handyman to oversee the maintenance and day-to-day care of several private family residences located within a five-mile radius.

 

This role is ideal for a proactive, service-oriented professional who takes pride in keeping homes safe, functional, and maintained to the highest standard.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily maintenance, upkeep, and readiness of multiple residences.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including changing air filters, lightbulbs, batteries, and other household systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot HVAC, A/V, pool, security, and other home systems.
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors, ensuring quality work and timely completion.
  • Assist with exterior upkeep, including power washing, sweeping, and maintaining guest-ready outdoor spaces.
  • Run property-related errands, deliveries, and supply pickups.
  • Communicate maintenance updates and priorities with the principals and household staff.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance issues and be available for after-hours property emergencies.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Property Manager, Handyman, Estate Maintenance Manager, Caretaker, or similar hands-on residential role.
  • Strong maintenance and troubleshooting skills with household systems.
  • Organized, dependable, discreet, and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable managing multiple properties and coordinating vendors.
  • Tech-savvy, with basic administrative skills for email and weekly reports.
  • Physically able to perform active indoor and outdoor work.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable local transportation.
  • Excellent, verifiable references.

 

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (flexible to 9:00 am – 6:00 pm).
  • On-call availability for property emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays.

 

Compensation

  • Base salary: $175,000–$250,000, depending on experience.
