Property Manager – Affordable Housing
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of an affordable housing community. The ideal candidate will have experience with HUD/Section 8 programs, strong leadership skills, and a background in property operations, compliance, budgeting, and resident relations.
Position is paying $38//hour with a schedule of 8am - 5pm Mon-Fri
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily property operations and supervise on-site staff.
- Maintain accurate resident, leasing, and maintenance records.
- Manage rent collection, deposits, and delinquency procedures.
- Process applications, certifications, and annual recertifications in compliance with affordable housing requirements.
- Prepare compliance reports and assist with regulatory inspections and audits.
- Develop marketing strategies to maintain strong occupancy.
- Prepare budgets and monitor financial performance and variances.
- Coordinate staff schedules and oversee employee performance.
- Oversee maintenance, property inspections, and overall physical condition of the community.
- Ensure compliance with HUD, Section 8, Fair Housing, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Build positive relationships with residents and promote resident satisfaction and retention.
- Prepare regular reports for management and corporate leadership.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of residential property management experience; affordable housing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with HUD/Section 8 programs.
- Knowledge of affordable housing compliance and recertification requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Property management software experience preferred.
- ARM, C3P, or other industry certifications are a plus.
