Job Description:
The Property Manager will lead the operations of a diverse affordable housing portfolio, ensuring properties are well-managed, regulatory standards are met, and residents are supported with compassion and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations across multiple affordable housing communities
- Provide coaching, leadership, and performance oversight for onsite property teams
- Ensure compliance with HUD, Section 8, and other affordable housing regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams on budgets, inspections, and resident engagement initiatives
- Identify and resolve operational issues, escalating when needed
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting for leadership and funding partners
- Guide staff through system transitions, policy changes, and procedural updates
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and resident-focused service
- Support staff development through regular one-on-one meetings and training
- Serve as a liaison with local housing authorities and community partners
Qualifications:
- Professional experience in affordable or non-profit housing
- Strong knowledge of housing compliance (HUD, Section 8, LIHTC, etc.)
- Experience with Yardi or comparable property management software
