    Seeking a Strategic Proposal Manager for High-Stakes Construction Projects

    Location: Folsom, California

    Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 per year

    Position Summary


    The Proposal Manager plays a critical role in leading the development and submission of high-quality proposals for new project pursuits. This role involves coordinating and managing all phases of the proposal process, from strategy formation to final submission. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in proposal management within the engineering, construction, or professional services sectors.


    Key Responsibilities


    - Lead strategy discussions and organize proposal kick-off meetings to ensure alignment with strategic goals and win themes.

    - Collaborate across departments to develop sections of the proposal, including management approaches, personnel qualifications, executive summaries, and technical volumes.

    - Engage in client capture planning and proposal messaging to align with client needs and project requirements.

    - Analyze and adhere to formal RFQ/P guidelines to ensure all proposals meet the specified requirements.

    - Manage the proposal schedule, coordinating with team leaders and contributors to ensure timely delivery of drafts and final submissions.

    - Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring our proposals meet their specific requirements and standards.

    - Contribute to the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, qualification packages, team resumes, case studies, and other collateral that showcases our expertise and differentiators.


    Qualifications


    - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

    - 5-10 years of experience in leading comprehensive proposal processes in a construction, engineering, or related professional environment.

    - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop and InDesign, with a strong aptitude for design and presentation.

    - Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, capable of working under tight deadlines.

    - Demonstrated ability to solve problems, plan strategically, and manage time effectively.

    - Understanding of the construction, architecture, or engineering industries is preferred.

    - Must be physically able to conduct site visits and capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
