We are looking for a Propulsion Test Infrastructure Engineer to enhance our Propulsion Development team. This role is critical in developing and testing advanced propulsion systems to meet our aggressive and innovative goals. You will be responsible for developing test cells, test stands, and rigs for the testing and maturation of air breathing propulsion systems.
WHAT YOULL DO
• Own the design and implementation of engine test cells • Derive actionable requirements for the design of development and production engine test cells • Develop test rigs to mature propulsion subsystems • Collaborate with EHS and Facilities teams to identify locations for test cells and rigs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BS or higher degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering 3+ years relevant engineering experience Experience in developing test cells for gas turbine engines, rockets, or internal combustion engines Experience distilling testing needs into appropriate facility/infrastructure needs Experience designing mechanical parts (CAD) in NX or Solidworks Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, castings, etc.)

Experience with exhaust treatment in sensitive areas Experience in the development of wind tunnels or altitude test facilities Experience with combustion rigs or rotating hardware rigs Experience with test cell instrumentation and calibration Knowledge of proper storage and treatment procedures of jet fuel Knowledge of power budgeting and basic power electronics Familiarity with ARP741D test cell correlation procedures
