Description

Prototype Automotive Assembler

Pay: $18–$21/hour, based on experience

Shifts available: 1st and 2nd shift

  • 1st shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday (occasionally until 3:30 PM)
  • 2nd shift: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday–Friday

About the role

This isn't a role where you bolt on the same part all day. As a Prototype Automotive Assembler, you'll work on the entire vehicle — from the ground up and end to end — helping bring brand-new, one-of-a-kind builds to life. You'll touch nearly every system on the vehicle, learn how the whole thing comes together, and see your work turn into real, physical prototypes that push the industry forward.

We build for some of the world's most demanding programs, and prototype assembly is where those ideas become reality. If you love working with your hands, take pride in doing things right, and want your work to eventually feed into the future of mobility, aerospace, military, and defense projects, this is the place to grow.

What you'll do

  • Assemble complete prototype vehicles — not a single station, but the full build across multiple systems and components.
  • Read and work from engineering drawings, build books, and instructions to assemble parts and sub-assemblies accurately.
  • Use a wide range of hand and power tools to fit, fasten, and adjust components to spec.
  • Work closely with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot fitment, identify issues, and refine builds as designs evolve.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow all safety procedures.

What we're looking for

  • Hands-on experience with automotive part assembly (professional, technical school, or serious personal/shop experience all count).
  • Confident, safe use of hand tools and power tools.
  • A strong drive to keep learning and to work on cutting-edge projects — with real interest in where this work can lead across aerospace, military, and defense programs.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work well on a team.
  • Willingness to work either 1st or 2nd shift, Monday through Friday.

Why you'll want to be here

You'll get genuine, whole-vehicle experience you can't get on a traditional line, exposure to next-generation programs across multiple industries, and a clear path to grow your skills over time. Plus competitive pay and a team that takes real pride in building the extraordinary.
