Prototype CNC Setup Technician — Mills & Lathes

What you’ll do

• Own setups on Mazak and Doosan mills/lathes for short-run and prototype jobs
• Touch off tools, set offsets, run first articles, and verify against the blueprint
• Apply GD&T in inspection and decision-making
• Collaborate closely with machinists and programmers to optimize cycles and quality
• Champion better methods and smarter tooling choices

What we look for

• Comfort with setup sheets, indicators, micrometers, and inspection workflows
• Experience with tight-tolerance, complex setups
• The judgment to know when a part meets spec the moment it hits the bench
• Respectful, solution-focused communication—no drama

Your toolkit

• GD&T, Blueprint Reading, G-Code, CNC Tooling
• CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC), CNC Lathe (2–4 axis), HMC (3–4 axis)
• Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators; plus Forklifts for material moves
