PeaceHealth is seeking a Provider Compensation Analyst for a Temporary, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $34.74 - $52.12. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

Serves as a PHMG network lead representing Physician Contracting and Physician and Clinician Compensation to an individual. Responsible for providing compensation analysis, scenario modeling, and guidance which enhances the decision making of assigned internal customers. Works directly with medical group leadership in administering all PeaceHealth Medical Group employed provider contracts and contract revisions ensuring all contract terms are consistent with the PeaceHealth Medical Group Compensation plan, organizational policies, and established legal and financial guidelines. Communicates and works directly with physicians and clinicians in answering compensation related inquiries and serves as a liaison for recruiting in resolving contract or compensation related issues. Provides support in the development and reporting for physician and clinician compensation, work RVUs and FTEs.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates centralized physician and clinician employment contract administration compliance, processes, and database management. Identifies and analyzes needs and develops processes to support compensation policies and practices.
  • Identifies and develops process improvements. Designs, develops, tests and implements electronic auditing and tracking processes. Develops and communicates detailed guidelines and/or changes to the compensation processes.
  • Provides ongoing collaboration with PHMG operational and clinical leaders to resolve clinician inquiries, pay disputes and other general administrative tasks related to the compensation plan.
  • Acts as the primary resource for PHMG network leadership to provide impact statements, research and resolve pay issues, provide current data, and produce visual communication tools to educate the physician and clinician staff and support high quality, high touch service.
  • Participates in the financial budgeting and general ledger accrual processes for compensation. Assists in the design, development and implementation of compensation plans, policies, processes and guidelines.
  • Participates in salary surveys, analyzes market data and compiles blended data for the determination of fair market-based compensation and productivity. Develops comparative data used in determining compensation plans.
  • Provides dissemination of compensation and productivity information to promote clarity of understanding, effective operational decision making, and ensure an understanding of the financial ramifications of decision alternatives. Provides ongoing financial and variation analysis that will assist management in enhancing operations.
  • Provides support for clinician Payroll and leaves of absence as needed. This includes serving as the primary liaison between Provider Compensation and the Payroll and Benefits departments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Required: Accounting or
  • Bachelor's Degree Required: Finance or
  • Bachelor's Degree Required: Business Administration or
  • Bachelor's Degree Required: Human Resources or
  • Bachelor's Degree Required: Statistics

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years Required: Accounting, finance and/or human resources compensation field including experience with clinician compensation plans and contracting

Skills

  • Working knowledge of CMS Relative Value Units (RVUs) and CPT codes. (Required)
  • Knowledge of provider compensation and provider contracts. (Required)
  • Sound analytical skills, including mathematical skills and ability to develop interpret and present data. (Required)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with providers, medical group leaders, network administrators and recruiters. (Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple demands and short time frames. (Required)
  • Excellent verbal, negotiation and written communications skills, particularly with key stakeholder groups such as PHMG leadership, providers and the provider recruitment staff. (Required)
  • Strong customer service focus. High level of interpersonal skills working in sensitive, personal and confidential situations. (Required)
  • Advanced level of technical expertise in Excel required with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint. (Required)
  • Thorough knowledge of business and management principles. (Required)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail and a proven ability to effectively plan, meet deadlines and work with detail. (Required)
  • Ability to implement major system and policy improvements and consequent new workflow, procedural systems, and processes. (Required)
  • Ability to investigate and recommend major problem resolution. (Required)
  • Experience in payroll and leaves of absence. (Preferred)
