This position is On-site, Monday- Friday at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA.

  • The Provider Provisioning Analyst provides leadership, management, and operational oversight of the comprehensive credentialing and provisioning processes for all physicians, advanced practice providers, medical scribes, medical residents and provider students. As a member of the Clinical Informatics Team, the Analyst works collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer, the Director of Clinical Informatics, the Medical Executive Committee, and other organization leaders to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the programs and activities of the Medical Staff, thus ensuring that Medical Staff are supported and there is adherence to the requirements of regulatory and accreditation bodies.The Provider Provisioning Analyst delivers a concierge-style provisioning and ongoing support service, which includes: (a) initiating and navigating the applicant through the credentialing and re-credentialing process, while problem solving and addressing any issues encountered along the way; (b) developing and executing an individualized plan for onboarding and provisioning each applicant based on their specialty and unique system requirements, including coordinating with multi-department stakeholders across the organization for seamless integration; (c) troubleshooting and providing the applicant with technical support throughout the process; and (d) delivering provider training on clinical informatics tools. This person will also coordinate new provider annual education and mandatory training compliance; as well as be responsible for identifying, building and maintaining reports for data abstracts and metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Credentialing

Manages the Medical Staff credentialing process including medical staff applications, providers' initial appointments, reappointments and changes in status and assures that the privilege delineation process is handled in an efficient, confidential, and timely manner.

Engages with applicants and their supervisors throughout the credentialing process, as well as all other parties needing to be kept apprised.

Prepares the Credentials Committee agenda and is responsible for presenting credentials files to department chairs for review and approval. Prepares agendas and related materials for meetings of the Medical Executive Committee and Provider Department meetings. Attends meetings, transcribes, and maintains minutes.

Manages residency program and graduate medical education.

Provisioning

Coordinates provider, resident, student and scribe provisioning activities, setup in clinical applications, and navigates issues through to resolution.

Coordinating HR Orientation and personalization appointment with Provider Informatics Team.

Coordinates PennChart training enrollment and prepares enrollee's PC environment and accessing virtual training class.

Coordinates with key stakeholders to ensure that all systems and downstream applications are up-to-date with demographic, licensing, medical privileges and practice/address/contact information changes during on-boarding, transitions, and off-boarding.

Manages E-prescribing enrollment, technical assistance and provider training.

Information Systems Management

Analyzes and determines unique access requirements and tools needed in the EHR for each applicant. Submits and follows through on tickets for these unique needs.

Manages provider, resident, student and scribe off-boarding activities including ticket submission to update downstream applications

Functions as Knowledge Link Administrator for:-Pennkey setup and support (i.e. enrolling, resetting passwords and trouble-shooting access issues for applicants).-Assignment and management of Annual mandatory provider training-Building and generating reports

Competency & Record Management

Maintains, prepares, and submits provider-focused reports (ex. Focused Professional Practice Evaluation).

Manages late stage provider competency assessment.

Maintains vaccine compliance and reports this to the state via state online portals.

Builds and runs reports to provide data on: compliance reporting and tracking including licensing, annual education requirements and vaccination.

Represents Chester County Hospital at UPHS Medical Staff Office (MSO) meetings and collaborates with the MSO on enhancements to the credentialing management system.

Maintains and distributes current medical staff rosters, making available to hospital departments and others as appropriate.

Maintains the financial records and systems concerning dues and expenditures for the Medical Staff, including Medical Staff checking account. Prepares monthly and annual statements of the financial position for the Medical Executive Committee.

Maintains provider on-call schedules

Maintains Medical Staff and APP email Distribution Lists

Credentials:

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
  • Education Specialization: Healthcare Degree Preferred Equivalent Experience: •And 1+ years Informatics and/or Medical Provider credentialing and onboarding experience.
