Responsibilities:Educate patient and family regarding patient condition, current therapy, and possible recommended home therapy (consults with shift coordinator or charge therapist for guidance).

Licensure/Certification
Must have authorization to practice by letter, provisional or full license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
RRT status must be achieved within one year from date of provisional license received
Basic Life Support (BLS) training is prior to providing patient care
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training is required within 6 months of hire for Respiratory NICU and to be maintained thru duration of employment
ACLS or PALS is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
