What's a day in the life of a line cook at The Hoppy Gnome?
Learning their station fully from what ingredients are in their area to where to find items they need
Learn new dishes and techniques with weekly features
Using menus and presentation guides to provide consistent dishes to guests
Learning to make scratch kitchen items like sauces, desserts and soups
Being able to prepare dishes in a high-volume restaurant with speed and accuracy
Prep food items before service
Ensure high quality food preparation
Ensuring their station and kitchen are clean and set up for the next shift
Understanding food safety and following sanitation guidelines
Becoming part of team working side by side through the busy shifts
What are we looking for?
Able to lift at least 50 pounds
Strong organizational skills
Must be willing to work a variety of day/night shifts
Weekend availability
1-3 years of previous experience working within restaurants/scratch kitchens
