Position Overview

The Principle Engineer of Business Systems/ERP is responsible for designing, developing and supporting the systems which include Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Demand-Supply Balancing, Promotional Planning, Master Data Management, Procurement Systems, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management Systems, Reverse Supply Chain systems, Integrations to Oracle EBS, WMS, Data Warehouse and custom solutions.

  • Work closely with end users and cross functional teams to implement systems projects, including the development of functional design, testing plans and deliverables in the Supply Chain applications portfolio
  • Partner with the business users to define the inventory planning strategies and configuration parameters that will drive stock keeping levels. Assist in developing reports related to forecast and inventory measurements
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the supply chain planning, procurement and supply chain execution functional areas. Participate in the development of functional strategy and recommend best practices to modify existing solutions, standard operating practices, procedures and policies.
  • Engage in mapping, configuration, design and testing of all supply chain planning, procurement and supply chain execution modules ensuring systems availability, stability, performance, compliance and security
  • Provide functional and technical expertise for other business analysts and programming resources in the portfolio, including setting priorities, reviewing work products and the reporting of team activities.
  • Demonstrate strong technical leadership by directing hands on development in PL/SQL and other technologies in the Oracle landscape
  • Design & ensure the coherent and efficient solution is built as per the design specifications while also promoting service re-usability, flexibility, and a standard based integration approach and avoids redundancies
  • Perform process research and implement changes through governed process re-engineering and continuous improvements initiatives. Document, develop supporting process flows and assist in the development of training manuals
  • Recognize technical deficiencies and implement effective solutions; identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans; propose alternate solutions and recommendations
  • Monitor compliance with statements of policies and procedures to assure that proper documentation is maintained and that the required controls are implemented
  • Oversee consultants and contractors assigned to projects or maintenance activities. Review of deliverables, adherence to SDLC and policies by third party resources
  • Support current systems such as: Oracle Demantra, Value Chain planning modules, Oracle EBS, Biceps, Retalix, Master Data Management, Teradata, Warehouse Management systems, Legacy Mainframe , Reverse Supply Chain applications and Custom Oracle applications

  • Specialized Knowledge : Knowledge of Supply chain systems. End to end implementations of Oracle Demantra and Value chain planning solutions required. Expertise in Procurement and Supply chain management, Project management, IT Systems technical and functional Architecture.

Years Of Experience

  • 7-10 : Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related work experience. Experience as an Implementer or Functional lead role with demonstrated expertise and advanced knowledge of Oracle Demand Management (Demantra) and Value chain planning solutions.
