The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah seeks an innovative, strategic, and collaborative leader to serve as Division Administrator for the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. This nationally recognized program provides comprehensive kidney and hypertension care across the Intermountain West, supports a robust research enterprise, and trains the next generation of nephrologists through its fellowship programs. The Division Administrator will partner closely with faculty, division and departmental leadership to provide strategic, operational, and financial oversight, advancing excellence across the division's clinical, research, and educational missions.
Reporting to the Division Chief and with functional oversight from the Department's Senior Administrative Director, this highly visible leadership role will drive strategic planning, financial stewardship, operational excellence, faculty support, and organizational effectiveness across a diverse workforce of faculty, advanced practice clinicians (APCs), trainees, and staff.
About the Division
The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension is a leading academic medicine division within the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, recognized for excellence in patient care, research, and medical education. Comprised of 45 faculty members, 16 advanced practice clinicians (APCs), 4 trainees, and 45 staff, the division provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease and hypertension, including kidney transplantation and dialysis services, across the Intermountain West. The division also supports a robust research enterprise and highly regarded fellowship training programs, advancing innovation and developing the next generation of nephrology leaders. Through its commitment to collaboration, discovery, and clinical excellence, the division plays a vital role in advancing the Department of Internal Medicine's clinical, research, and educational missions.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); eight years of progressively more responsible management experience; and demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communications skills required.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
