Per diem hourly rate speech-language pathologist, University of Utah, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Aphasia Communication and Participation Lab. Responsible for assisting Lab Director with a variety of research activities focused on improving communication, quality of life and participation in individuals with aphasia. Responsibilities include assisting with data management and analyses, engaging in participant recruitment and assisting with aphasia group programming.

Salary: This is not a salaried position. Hourly rate compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

Current licensure to practice as a Speech Pathologist in the State of Utah.

Preferred

Experience in the following areas; dysphagia, stroke, head trauma, diffuse brain pathology, neurologic diseases and disorders, developmental language delay, dysfluency, voice pathology, motor speech disorders, cognitive disorders or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).

Preferences

Graduate degree in Speech-Langauge Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA CCCs). Experience with neurological communication disorders, including post-stroke aphasia preferred.
