The Role:
This position provides acute, primary and preventative medical care to students at Central Washington University. This clinic is accredited through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc., within a multi-disciplinary team format. Newly graduated professionals are welcome. Provides medical care to patients that includes performing examinations, determining diagnoses, making referrals and planning/implementing treatment. These duties are provided within the scope of care under the state license as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. This position takes direct responsibility for all health care provided, as there is no attending or supervising physician. Medical Provider Duties:
Minimum Qualifications
Have current credentials that would allow candidates to obtain a valid Washington State license to practice as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, and a valid Washington State license to practice as a Registered Nurse by start date.
Current board certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Excellent communication and interpersonal problem-solving skills.
Unencumbered license status and eligible to practice in the State of Washington.
Current Healthcare Provider Basic CPR Certification.
Ability to create environments that support different perspectives of ethical critical thinking and sound decision-making.
Demonstrated ability and/or experience working collaboratively with students and/or colleagues to foster a supportive and effective learning and work environment.
OR applicable combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

Experience providing direct medical care in an ambulatory setting.
Experience working in a college or university health center.
Experience in the provision of health services to a college age population.
Experience in primary care in womens health and/or sexual health.

Experience or interest in mentoring students from a variety of backgrounds.
Ability to incorporate a variety of perspectives and relevant societal issues into everyday conversations.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Salary: This position is based on the range 81N of the Washington State Classification Listing, which has a minimum monthly salary of $10,024 and maximum annual salary of $16,226. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
Schedule/Appointment: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (1 hour lunch) / PSE Bargaining Unit 3 / 8-month cyclic appointment (for more detailed information regarding cyclic appointments click link: CWU Cyclic Leave)
Cyclic Leave Dates: December 14, 2026 - January 1, 2027, March 22, 2027 - March 26, 2027, and June 14, 2027 - June 30, 2027 (Academic year 26-27)
Working Conditions: Work will involve assisting patients who may need to be moved from standing to sitting or lying down, positioning patients for basic physical examinations. In emergencies, the person may be required to assist lifting and positioning for safety of patients and perform CPR. Work occurs in an integrated medical facility where potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and communicable diseases may occur. This individual will maintain appropriate immunizations and institute all standard medical safety precautions.
