The Nexus Group in Pittsburgh, PA is a widely respected and rapidly growing outpatient private psychiatric practice treating child, adolescent, and adult patients. clinic offers a comprehensive and individualized treatment approach. We are unique in that we take a whole-body perspective to treatment, combining conventional psychiatry and psychotherapy with mind-body techniques. Our goal is to get to the root-cause of your behavioral health conditions. Nexus also provides advanced depression treatment in the form of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for patients with Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD) and other mental health disorders. We are a lean, digital office with a great support staff, allocating ample time for appointments and follow-ups.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to join our team and to provide comprehensive psychiatric care to our patients. The CRNP will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with mental health disorders in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions, psychotherapy, and pharmacotherapy as appropriate
Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize outcomes
Provide patient education and counseling on mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for self-management
Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care
Document patient encounters accurately and comprehensively in the electronic health record system
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in the state of practice
Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from a recognized accrediting body (e.g., ANCC, AANP)
Prescriptive authority and DEA registration for controlled substances
Previous experience in psychiatric-mental health nursing preferred
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
Commitment to providing patient-centered and culturally sensitive care
Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
