    What you'll do at DBH:

    • Serve in a fundamental role as an interdisciplinary treatment team member for psychiatric patients creating and executing treatment plans

    • Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, & response to medication and treatment

    • As charge nurse, initiate and direct psychiatric and nursing care for patients and provide support and direction for nursing staff while promoting a positive and safe environment for recovery

    • Contributes vital input on records, plans, and reports

    • Facilitate patient group activities

    • Utilize approved de-escalation techniques, support behavioral plans, and respond effectively to emergencies

    • Provide supportive interactions, encourage coping skills, and maintain a safe and structured environment

    • Promote dignity, respect, patient rights, and trauma-informed practices

    This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 13 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are 1st Shift (7:00am to 7:30pm), 3rd Shift (7pm-7:30am) may work weekends and holidays as needed. This position is located within our Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare location, located at 930 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, OH 43614

    Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
