LOCATION OF (1) POSITION(S) TO BE FILLED: DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH & SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVICES, HAMILTON COUNTY
This position is located at Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute.
This position requires a criminal background check. Therefore, you may be required to provide information about your criminal history in order to be considered for this position.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in a social or behavioral science field and experience equivalent to three years of professional administrative program services work and/or supervisory work in a behavioral health program, of which one year must be in an in-patient setting.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Any professional administrative program services and/or behavioral health experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years.

Overview
An employee in this class is responsible for administrative program and supervisory work of considerable difficulty at an in-patient psychiatric hospital. An incumbent of this classification directs a program (e.g., Peer Support Specialist Program, Forensic Services Program, Treatment Rehabilitation, Admissions) at a state inpatient psychiatric hospital and supervises all professional and sub-professional staff assigned to the program. Performs related work as required.
Responsibilities
Directs program employees and program requirements in a specific program at a Regional Mental Health Institute (RMHI). Programs may include the following: Forensic Services; Treatment Mall/Treatment Rehabilitation; Admissions; Treatment Planning.
Coordinates with patient's care team including nurses, physicians, social workers, etc., to ensure they are aware of any potential obstacles or challenges.
Chairs meetings of the interdisciplinary Treatment Committee to foster clear communication and collaboration between all disciplines involved in patient treatment.
Communicates pertinent information to team members such as upcoming admissions, safety concerns, availability of training/educational opportunities, and reminders about safety and security practices.
Participates in the development of standardized RMHI practices, policies, and procedures.
Ensures the program environment meets Joint Commission and CMS Standards.
