Assignment Details

  • Full-time contract opportunities
  • Initial 16-week assignments with available 13-week extensions
  • 8-hour and 12-hour shifts based on facility requirements
  • Rotating weekend schedule required
  • Placement opportunities throughout North Carolina's behavioral health and psychiatric facilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients receiving inpatient behavioral health services
  • Complete patient assessments and monitor physical, emotional, and behavioral conditions
  • Administer prescribed medications and evaluate patient response to treatment
  • Support patients in developing coping techniques and achieving treatment goals
  • Observe, document, and promptly communicate changes in patient condition
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, Registered Nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to promote quality patient care

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program
  • Active and unrestricted North Carolina LPN license
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of one year of recent inpatient nursing experience
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screenings, drug testing, credential verification, and competency assessments
