    Job Overview

    In this exciting position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychiatric care in an outpatient setting. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans, conduct thorough evaluations, and provide ongoing support to patients facing mental health challenges. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing patient outcomes and promoting overall community well-being.

    What you'll do

    • Provides psychiatric evaluation and ongoing psychiatric care of homeless clients by performing mental status examination, diagnostic assessments, supportive therapy, consultations, and pharmacological management. • Provides accurate, timely documentation of assessment and care provided to clients. • Works collaboratively with other physicians, nurses and staff. • Works closely with behavioral health counselors to assure continuity of care. • Requests and interprets laboratory evaluations. • Makes medical referrals/warm handoffs when indicated. • Completes external reports (probate, disability) as needed. • Manages prescriptions, administration of medications, and education for clients and thoroughly documents everything in the Electronic Medical Record.

    Basic qualifications

    Active Nurse Practitioner license with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and behavioral health principles.

    Preferred qualifications

    Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Proficiency in conducting telehealth sessions for remote patient care. Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 for accurate billing processes. Background in critical care or emergency medicine is advantageous. Experience working with diverse populations, including children and seniors.
