Organization OverviewA valued client of Denali Staffing Group is a behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) services organization based in Anchorage, Alaska. The organization is approved under the Alaska 1115 Behavioral Health (BH) Waiver, the 1115 SUD Waiver, and the Alaska State Plan for multiple behavioral health programs.The organization provides integrated mental health and substance use treatment services across the continuum of care, serving individuals and families throughout Alaska.Position SummaryOur client is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join its collaborative multidisciplinary team.The PMHNP will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, medication management, and ongoing treatment to individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use disorder services. Flexible scheduling and in-person, telehealth, or hybrid work options may be available based on program needs.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment and medication-management plans.Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), when clinically appropriate.Collaborate with therapists, case managers, SUD counselors, psychiatric providers, and program leadership.Participate in interdisciplinary treatment-team meetings and case reviews.Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning as needed.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.Follow Alaska Medicaid, State Plan, and 1115 Waiver documentation requirements.Maintain compliance with applicable federal and Alaska regulations, DEA requirements, and PDMP monitoring.QualificationsActive PMHNP-BC certification through the ANCC.Active, unrestricted Alaska APRN license or eligibility for Alaska licensure or reciprocity.Active DEA registration in Alaska or eligibility to obtain one.At least one to two years of psychiatric or mental health experience preferred.Substance use disorder or MAT experience is a plus.Telehealth experience preferred.Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and EHR skills.Ability to successfully complete required background checks and credentialing.Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experience.Full-time or part-time scheduling options.W-2 employment or 1099 contract opportunities.In-person, telehealth, or hybrid scheduling.Malpractice coverage.Credentialing support.Supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team.Apply today through Denali Staffing Group to help expand access to quality behavioral healthcare for individuals and families throughout Alaska.
