Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Location: Remote Schedule: Full-Time Pay: $75 $85/hr Position Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide full-time psychiatric services in a remote capacity. The PMHNP will support clients with mental health and/or substance use-related concerns through psychiatric evaluations, medication management, ongoing clinical follow-up, documentation, and collaboration with the treatment team.
The ideal candidate is organized, clinically strong, comfortable working independently in a remote setting, and experienced providing care to individuals with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric follow-up.
Assess client symptoms, treatment response, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects.
Develop and update psychiatric treatment recommendations based on client needs.
Collaborate with therapists, case managers, clinical leadership, and other members of the treatment team.
Review client progress and participate in care coordination as needed.
Provide education to clients regarding medications, diagnosis, symptoms, coping strategies, and treatment expectations.
Identify clinical concerns, safety risks, medication issues, or changes in client presentation and respond appropriately.
Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with company, clinical, and regulatory standards.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable ethical and professional standards.
Provide services through secure telehealth platforms in a professional and client-centered manner.
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification required.
Active and unrestricted nurse practitioner license required.
Must be eligible to provide psychiatric services remotely.
Prior experience providing psychiatric care, medication management, and diagnostic evaluations preferred.
Experience working with mental health, substance use disorder, or dual diagnosis populations strongly preferred.
Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and communication skills.
Comfortable working independently in a remote/telehealth environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
DEA registration preferred or required depending on role responsibilities.
Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
Compensation
This is a full-time remote position offering $75 $85/hr , depending on experience, licensure, and qualifications.
