    Description

    This psychiatric provider works as a member of the integrated behavioral health program in Outside In's medical clinics. Provides Care for diverse population of patients in Federally Qualified Health Centers and outreach sites. Outside In provides care to patients with current and historical barriers to access health care.. This position provides psychiatric consultation, medication management, assessment, mental health and substance abuse treatment referral and provides support to primary care team around prescribing and issues of psychiatric care.

    Essential Duties

    • Participate on interdisciplinary team that provides integrated behavioral health care in a primary care setting.
    • Provide psychiatric evaluations of agency patients.
    • Provide screening and assessment of patient's medical needs, including lab tests.
    • Provide medication prescription and ongoing medication management in individual or group settings.
    • Provide support and expertise on agency policies regarding patient psychiatric needs. Collaborate in creation of policies and procedures as needed.
    • Determine medical necessity and appropriateness of mental health services for eligible clients.
    • Provide case consultation to primary care providers and other agency clinicians.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on clients and follows agency billing requirements.
    • Work cooperatively with primary care and mental health teams.
    • Ensure timely documentation of services and outcomes.
    • Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations and to Outside In policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security.
    • Other duties as assigned.
