Key Responsibilities:
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will provide psychotropic medication management to patients in long-term care facilities. This includes:
· Conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
· Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on patient needs.
· Offering psychotropic medication management, including prescribing and monitoring medications.
· Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure patient care.
· Maintaining accurate medical documentation in line with regulatory standards.
· Participating in clinical research initiatives when applicable.
· Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatments
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent)
· Current Nurse Practitioner license in specified location
· Familiarity with medical documentation practices and occupational health principles is a plus
