Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and consultations for new and existing clients.
- Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychiatric medications as appropriate.
- Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric care.
- Respond to crisis situations and provide clinical intervention when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including; Psychiatric assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, medication informed consents, treatment plan reviews.
- Maintain patient records in accordance with federal, state, agency, and payer requirements.
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals regarding client treatment plans.
- Provide psychiatric consultation and clinical guidance to staff.
- Assist with the development and review of medical policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain a valid collaborating agreement with a psychiatrist, as required by Ohio regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Active Ohio Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license.
- Active DEA License
- Ability to independently conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent documentation and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMHNP-BC or PMHNP-C Certification
- Psychiatric Mental Health specialization
- Experience treating adults, adolescents, individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI), Individuals with Substance Use Disorders (SUD)
- Experience with telehealth psychiatric services
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychiatric emergency stabilization
- Strong crisis intervention skills
- Experience developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
