Mercy Community Healthcare has an opening for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Franklin, TN. We are looking for enthusiastic people with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those we serve in our community. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive outpatient mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to Mercy Community Health clients across the lifespan. Working collaboratively within the treatment team, the practitioner develops and implements evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals experiencing behavioral health disorders, maintains meticulous clinical documentation and medical records in compliance with regulatory standards, and ensures continuity of care through effective communication with clinical team members and appropriate specialist referrals.

We provide care to the uninsured, underinsured and insured through pediatric and adult primary care, mental and behavioral health services, and care coordination.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides outpatient mental health therapeutic services to clients of Mercy Community Health
Assesses, diagnoses, and treats adults, adolescents, and/or children experiencing symptoms of behavioral health disorders
Documents all patient encounters and diagnostic test results accurately and timely in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Collaborates with psychologist, other psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, psychiatrists and other treatment team members to coordinate client care
Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries
Participates as an active member of the Psychiatry team
Maintain appropriate licensure and supervision in a manner consistent with standards of practice and the State of Tennessee
Maintains positive, professional relationships with local medical community
Consults with other physicians and/or clinicians about each patient's specific need and refer to specialists as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience: Certification as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program required.
