Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - New York, NY (Onsite) - Full Time - $140,000-$150,000 Per Year

Pay Range: $140,000-$150,000 Per Year
Description:
• This position involves working in a community-based health center, providing psychiatric care within an interdisciplinary team.
• The role requires full-time commitment onsite in New York, NY, focusing on mental health and addiction issues, utilizing general technology tools for documentation and communication.
Requirements:
• Conduct initial and follow-up psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Perform comprehensive mental status exams and risk assessments.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medication as needed.
• Formulate and discuss treatment plans with clients.
• Provide crisis intervention when required.
• Collaborate with primary psychotherapist on treatment planning.
• Maintain timely and accurate record keeping.
Qualifications:
• Master of Science in Nursing with a license to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience with minority communities and families affected by mental illness and substance abuse.
• Proficiency in group facilitation and knowledge of psychopathology and differential diagnosis.
• Experience with mental health and addiction issues.
• Comfortable with using general office software for documentation.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is desirable.
• Experience working with social service systems in New York City.
