Description

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy, & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a Residential level 3.5 setting! Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful & independent living. Responsibilities Include:

Diagnosing & treating clients in collaboration with clinical colleagues.
Complete psychiatric evaluations, consultations, treatment planning, medication administration / adjustments, medication assisted treatment (MAT / MOUD), mental status assessments, supportive therapy, and / or crisis intervention.
Prescribe and / or direct psychotherapeutic treatments or medication to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
Monitor effects of psychotropic medications on clients.
Revise / update plan of care based on client progress or lack of progress.

Required Education & Experience:

Maryland or compact state license as an RN
CRNP-PMH (or) PMHNP
Must hold XDEA (Buprenorphine waiver) privileges
Vivitrol injection experience
Basic Life Support / CPR

Additional Eligibility Qualifications / Competencies:

Possesses clinical elements of substance use treatment
Possesses knowledge of trauma, attachment, & relational models.
Possesses knowledge of methods for appropriate clinical documentation in a treatment setting.
Possesses knowledge of techniques for effective assessments & case management.
Ability to write clear & concise reports.
Ability to analyze therapeutic processes & determine means of maintaining and / or increasing efficiencies.
Ability to explain technical / medical terminology to nonexperts.

Hours:

Full-time
Monday- Friday from 9:00am- 5:00pm
