Psychiatric Technician (per diem)

Psychiatric Techniciansare encouraged to consider a per diem opportunity with Liberty Healthcare’s specialized forensic mental health program at the West Valley Detention Center.

This unique program provides high quality psychiatric stabilization and competency restoration services to adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness.

As a Psychiatric Technician you will play an important role with Liberty’s treatment team.

Your responsibilities will include

• Providing in-person care to inmates within the jail

• Administering medication, including injectables

• Health education and basic counseling

• Documenting patient health status and treatment progress

• Participating in clinical team meetings

• Collaborating with psychiatrists, licensed clinicians, and security staff

• Ensuring clients receive high quality mental health services

This is a per-dem position in which you will work on an as-needed basis - weekdays and weekends - always on day shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

You can expect$28.00 to $36.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)

In this role, you will help people take meaningful steps in their journey towards improved mental health and wellbeing.
