Psychiatric Technician

What We Offer

• Schedule: 7pm-7am, Nightshift, Full-time
• Department: Geriatric Psych - Behavioral Health
• Location: Thomasville Medical Center, Thomasville, North Carolina
• The Psychiatric Tech is responsible for assisting with care of psychiatric patients from young adults up the age continuum through geriatrics under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Previous experience in inpatient behavioral health with adults is recommended. CNA Certification REQUIRED

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience: One year, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. CNAI in NC, preferred.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Ability to perform all MOAB physical holds. Ability to care for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse age specific patients within facility.
