Our client, a reputable healthcare provider serving a diverse community in Queens, is hiring a Full-Time ACT Psychiatrist. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide specialized psychiatric care within an assertive community treatment (ACT) program. The psychiatrist will be integral to a multidisciplinary team, overseeing client treatment plans, conducting psychiatric assessments, and coordinating medical care in a community setting. The position also includes responsibilities to mentor psychiatry residents and medical students, contributing to educational efforts at Queens Hospital Center.
Responsibilities:
Deliver psychiatric assessment and ongoing treatment to patients in the community.
Monitor client progress and tailor treatment plans accordingly.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
Coordinate medical services with psychiatric treatment plans.
Provide supervision and mentorship to residents and students as part of the hospitals training programs.
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements:.
Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
Current New York State Medical License, Medicaid number, and DEA registration required.
Knowledge of the ACT model of care and community-based mental health treatment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Prior teaching or mentoring experience is a plus.
Availability to practice full-time (32 hours in ACT and 8 hours in CPEP).
Willingness to work with a culturally diverse patient population.
