Our client, a leading academic medical center dedicated to serving its diverse community, is hiring a Psychiatrist, CPEP Nocturnist to join its dynamic behavioral health team. Provide critical overnight coverage in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP), working 3-4 weekdays or weekend overnights to complete a 40-hour weekly schedule. Responsibilities:
Deliver inpatient and emergency psychiatric assessments and consultation services during overnight shifts.
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and stabilize patients in crisis.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Engage in teaching and supervising psychiatry residents, fostering their clinical development.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols to enhance emergency psychiatric services.
Requirements:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry.
Valid New York State Medical License, DEA, and Medicaid number.
Proven ability to work effectively in high-pressure emergency settings.
Strong communication skills and capacity for teamwork in a diverse environment.
