Psychiatrist - Forensics

Summary:

• Full-time: 40 hours/week Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Up to 16 additional on-call hours per week for occasional nights, weekends, and holidays
• Duration: 3 weeks from tentative selection through 12/31/2030

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 14-18 patients in an inpatient forensic unit
• Work primarily with CPL 330.20, 730, and 508 designations
• Handle patient stays ranging from several months to 5 years

Requirements:

• ABPN General Psychiatry Board Certification
• Active New York Medical License
• Active NY DEA Registration
• Medicare and Medicaid Enrollment

Preferred Skills:

• Forensic Board Certification
• Experience in forensic psychiatry
• Comfortable managing long-term forensic patients in an inpatient setting
